Keen to speak to candidates with a keen interest in the Financial Services industry, to join a business based in Wolverhampton as a Treasury Assistant on a permanent basis. Reporting into the Treasury Team Leader, the successful Treasury Assistant can expect a salary between £22,000 - £25,000 per annum.

The Treasury Assistant role would best suit someone with 1-2 years' experience, with an interest in Treasury and Financial Services. Graduate applicants with relevant degrees are also welcome.

The key purpose of this role is to undertake the daily tasks required to ensure deals are executed to the highest standard as agreed with counterparts to fulfil the Group's obligations.

Treasury Assistant duties:

  • Assist with the performance of treasury instrument deal approval, settlement and confirmation matching, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded in the Treasury Management System.
  • Prepare treasury payments in line with current authorities ensuring accuracy and delivery against contractual obligations.
  • Assist with portfolio reconciliations
  • To assist with the smooth running of the Group's cash management responsibilities, (including Group Pooled deposits) in respect of its current (and any future) structured finance arrangements.
  • Support an appropriate risk management environment, ensuring controls are monitored and adhered to and any deviations are appropriately escalated and reported.
  • Ensure that all policies and procedures within the Treasury Back Office function are understood and adhered to.
  • Assist the Treasury Back Office Team Leader to grow the Treasury Back Office team by building product knowledge and supporting new and ongoing training on systems and processes.
  • To assist and support ad-hoc project work related to business development and diversification.
  • Ensure that you fully understand and comply with the organisation's Risk Management Policies as they relate to your area of responsibility and demonstrate in your day to day work that you put customers at the heart of everything you do.
  • Ensure that you fully understand and comply with the organisation's Data Governance Policies as they relate to your area of responsibility and demonstrate in your day to day work that you treat data as an important corporate asset which must be protected and managed.
  • Maintain the Group's compliance standards and ensure timely completion of all mandatory on-line training modules and attestations.
