Technical Support Engineer (Azure) - Walsall (flexible working) - £40,000 - £50,000 + 10% Bonus

I am currently recruiting for a Technical Support Engineer to join a global organisation based out of their HQ in the West Midlands (remote working available). This role will play a major part in supporting the business and its users with a variety of support requests and will have a core focus on supporting the business infrastructure (servers, backups, networks, disaster recovery, desktop equipment etc).

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in infrastructure management including cloud, virtual and physical environments. This role will specifically need someone who has a minimum of 3 years experience working with Microsoft Azure and we would not be able to consider candidates who do not have this experience.

Role Overview:

  • Manage and enhance business infrastructure ensuring that it is fully maintained, operational and "fit for purpose". This covers, servers, backups, networks, disaster recovery and desktop equipment.
  • Ability to work with Windows Server and Linux Systems.
  • Working with Firewalls and other security related tools.
  • Install, configure and make operational new hardware.
  • Configuring and maintaining Microsoft Exchange Server environments including Office 365.
  • 3rd line support including developing and maintaining processes related to Service Desk tasks.
  • Own and manage issues to full completion, keeping customers updated at all times, ensuring incident/escalation process is followed and seen through to completion.
