Technical Services Mechanical Engineer- Manufacturing - Birmingham - £30-35k

Are you a Mechanical Engineer based in Birmingham who is looking for a new challenge? If so, I have the perfect opportunity for you to join a progressive Birmingham based industrial engineering and manufacturing organisation.

The company are global leader in fluid engineering, with two centuries of experience developing innovative products and services that drive sustainable progress and are continuously growing with sites situated across UK.

The Engineer will be responsible for:

Providing mechanical design and good understanding of engineering principles across our UK network of Service Centres
Writing technical reports on generator and motor mechanical issues
Reviewing quality failings and implementing improvement plans
Offering technical advice
Updating company process procedures on mechanical works
Approving new suppliers
Operating 3D laser scan equipment and reverse engineering.
Designing using classical methods or infinite element analysis techniques

Required experience:

Nationally recognised engineering degree or higher-level qualification
Solid technical background in mechanical engineering
Familiar with rotating machines, particularly motors and generators
Fully conversant with international standards IEC, ISO etc

Package:

Regular overtime during weekdays and weekends.
33 days holiday (inclusive of bank holidays) + service days.
Eligible for the company-wide bonus scheme
Contribution pension scheme.
