Responsibilities of a Indirect Tax Accountant based in Bilston, Wolverhampton:

  • To support identification and implementation of on-going process improvements.

  • Ensure all General Ledger tax accounts for span of control are reconciled each month

  • Procedures and manuals related to tax returns will be created and maintained

  • The post-holder will build and maintain technical skills/knowledge through the completion of their Accounting or Tax qualification and by completing evidenced CPD.

  • To provide clean & accurate data to external service providers on a timely basis and resolve any queries so that returns can be submitted on time

  • The post-holder will engage fully and proactively with external services providers

  • Prepare tax returns in line with local regulations

  • Timely and effective implementation of existing and new legislation

Indirect Tax Accountant personal attributes:

  • Evidence of continuous professional development and learning
  • Meticulous with a strong attention to detail, highly organised and managing their own workload
  • Customer service orientated
  • Minimum of 3 years relevant experience in Indirect Taxation gained in either Practice/Industry
  • Strong data analysis skills in Excel
  • Experience dealing with tax in a multinational business environment
  • Part-qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA or ATT
