It is a rare to find an opportunity with a privately owned, highly successful and expanding multi-site business of this calibre on the market for an experienced Supply Chain Operations professional. This role will give the post holder strategic and operational responsibility for developing and delivering the company supply chain strategy, goals and objectives while ensuring customer expectation relating to knowledge, service, product quality and delivery are maximised.
The Supply Chain Director will be responsible for all aspects of Logistics, Operations, Procurement and Sales across all areas of the business and all of the 4 sites within the group. You will own the Sales & Operational Planning process, accountable for overall supply- chain planning and allocation of resources within a team of 65+ individuals with around 8 direct reports.
As you work collaboratively with key stakeholders to facilitate delivery and compliance of strategy using clear category management principles, you will manage and develop people & competences as you attract, retain and develop supply-chain talent to achieve their full potential. You will provide clear leadership, coordination and coaching to inspire the team and be the role model for the company's International values.
Working in conjunction with the design and development teams you will identify product enhancement opportunities to improve product or manufacturing performance and support the development of new product ranges through to their successful implementation into the Supply Chain. The Supply Chain Director will provide a competitive and totally reliable logistics service to meet agreed service levels while sufficiently agile to manage customers change requests while ensuring all manufacturing processes are operated in the most efficient and effective way, with a continuous improvement approach.
As a proven Supply Chain Operations and Procurement specialist, you will have significant experience and influence managing a multi-site portfolio and have strong leadership qualities with achievements in building and developing teams, based on a coaching / involving style and stakeholder agility. Exposure to a low to medium volume, bespoke manufacturing environment where quality and delivery are key is essential as is a strong financial analysis understanding and exposure to the use and development of an ERP / MRP system within a manufacturing based environment. You will be able to switch between strategic and operational problem solving and able to deliver robust solutions based on data to help drive the business forward.
