Are you an experienced Category Lead, with strong IT procurement experience? Have you worked within a regulated environment? How would you like to work for a global organisation, helping to strengthen their procurement department?
A leading Solihull based organisation are recruiting a Category Lead to focus on their indirects categories. The successful Category Lead will be joining an organisation who are focused on the development and progression of their people, offering you a supportive environment where your procurement career can flourish.
You will support the Head of Procurement in delivering the business's transformation plan, build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and lead RFX processes. You will work closely with the legal and finance departments and draft and review contracts and improve processes and procedures. You will also have responsibility for a small team of buyers. You will optimise spend, apply different techniques to achieve cost reductions and manage contract delivery.
In order to carry out this role, you will need the following skills and experience:
- Experience of IT Procurement
- Experience of RFX processes and bid evaluation
- Experience within an regulated environment, ideally financial services
- Extensive knowledge of contract law and contract drafting
In return, you will receive a salary of circa £45,000 to £50,000 dependent upon experience, 25 days' holiday + bank holidays, along with a selection of other excellent benefits.
