I am now recruiting for a Stores Person to join a leading manufacturing business, the role involves the implementation of a functioning stores facility and the management thereafter.
My client has been successful in winning a number of new deals and as a result they need a fully functioning stores facility onsite. The client is a provider of one specialities and general manufacturing to customers in a range of industries; the Stores Person will play a key role in successfully implementing the new store and ensuring SOP's for smooth running from the launch of the facility.
The key purpose of the Stores Person is to assist with the implementation of fully-managed stores services onsite, the stores will hold high volumes of engineering equipment, this should increase production volumes for the customer. Preferred applicants will have demonstrable experience of inventory/stores management within a manufacturing environment, the type of company where a full order book is the norm. You will need to be able to work autonomously at times utilising previous experience to ensure a seamless start up and limited disruption to the operation. Your skills & experience will include:
- Excellent understanding of stores management and stock/inventory control;
- Self-starter with the ability to work unsupervised in a customer location;
- Working within an Engineering/Manufacturing Stores environments
- Understanding of Engineering stores layouts
