Gleeson Recruitment Group are pleased to be working with a dynamic, high growth retail group based in Birmingham, to recruit for an SEO Manager to join on a full time, permanent basis.

Job title: SEO Manager

Location: Birmingham

Salary: £50,000 - £55,000

Contract: Perm, full time

Start date: 2023

WFH policy: Hybrid / Remote

The role:

This is a new role to the business as they merge to a more in house model of SEO. You will work with an external agency to support the SEO strategy you develop and deliver to the business. You will own SEO Strategy and technical SEO. For this role we are looking for someone to join the business to bring in expertise and advise on best practise when is comes to SEO whilst working with internal teams, stakeholders and support with the overall digital marketing strategy.

Key requirements:

Deliver SEO strategy in line with business objectives
Work to increase rankings, traffic and sales uplift
Continuously improve on-page optimisation
Own and manage the technical SEO plan
Present business cases to increase Organic Search visibility
Provide consistent and accurate recommendations to the business that can increase sales performance
Ensure strategy and plans are aligned with and are coordinated to support the wider digital marketing teams
Own a test and learn plan
Report on performance continuously
Work with wider teams in the business to identify opportunities and to again ensure wider marketing strategy aligns
Mange external agency and their requirements

Candidate criteria:

Previous experience in an SEO manager role or a senior SEO position
Excellent communications skills
Able to present business cases to senior stakeholders within the business
Able to work well across multiple projects
Able to bring SEO expertise and be the expert within the business on all things SEO
Strong content experience
Analytical skills
Experience with Google Analytics / Search Console and other SEO reporting platforms
Commercially aware and driven
