As the Senior Test Engineer, you will be the "Tester in Charge" (Major Works) leading and managing a team of testing and commissioning engineers to deliver projects.

The Senior Test Engineer will have the following responsibilities:

• Ensure health, safety and environmental requirements are adhered to at the site depot and individual work sites
• Promote a zero accident/incident culture and environment
• Manage testing and commissioning activities in accordance with the project and budget requirements
• Ensure that testing and commissioning is carried out and recorded
• Ensure the quality of the testing and commissioning procedures are in accordance with SRA, client, manufacturers and legal procedures, processes, regulations and standards
• Liaison with control systems and other multi-disciplined teams across the business
• Communicate effectively with the Project Engineering Manager and Design Engineers in respect of design issues associated with testing
• Liaise with the Site Manager and installation engineers in regards to installation issues associated with testing
• Undertake regular audits of the testing and commissioning operation
• Certify the system and/or systems are fit for purpose and formally handover to the client

Skills required or the Senior Test Engineer:

• HNC/HND/Degree in electrical Engineering or equivalent
• IRSE Licence as Tester in Charge is essential
• Experience in site testing of mainline or metro railway signalling projects for the testing and commissioning period of the project lifecycle
• A strong understanding for site testing activities as laid down in the business, customer, national and international standards and procedures
• Excellent interpersonal and negotiating skills associated with managing allocated staff and contractors, other functions within the business and the customer (essential)
