Your new role
The role of the PMO Officer is to assist in providing management & guidance across all PMO activities within the group. Working across the business the PMO Support Officer is responsible in assisting project teams with scoping, planning, monitoring and the delivery of projects from outset to completion in line with the PMO framework whilst managing project and business risk.
Work across all business functions to ensure that compliance with the PMO framework is maintained
Work with stakeholders across the business at any level throughout the lifecycle of the project
Assist the project teams to review requirements and develop scope for the project.
Assist the Project Teams to create and maintain the project RAID registers
Assist in the development of Project Delivery plans for integration into the PMO's Master Programme, taking input from the Project Team in relation to programme and resource availability.
Assist in Identifying / track and tracking benefits and develop & manage project budgets
Report against Project Delivery Plan.
Assist in the development of mitigation / recovery strategies
Provide continual improvement feedback into the PMO framework.
Provide cross business thought leadership and promotion of the PMO
Assist the PMO with business wide risk management & mitigation
Assist in ensuring that cross project / programme dependencies are managed
Manage small projects or packets of work from time to time
Required - Project Management qualification (e.g. PRINCE2 Practitioner, APM, PMP)
Desirable - Six Sigma
Experience of delivery and of leading issues management and resolution
Assistance in the delivery of multiple, concurrent and diverse projects on time, on budget and to required quality standards Is competent in understanding requirements to effectively build project scope.
Stakeholder management across all levels of business both internal and external
Experience of working in a manufacturing / production environment
Experience with working with manufacturing, supply chain, HR, finance, commercial, product design, IT and leadership teams
Must be a proactive self-starter with a 'can do' attitude and be prepared to work the hours when required to get the job done.
Must have strong communication and stakeholder management skills at all levels in the organisation.
Must be comfortable working at pace with degrees of ambiguity
Proficient in Microsoft Project Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
