Gleeson Recruitment Group are currently supporting a fantastic business based in Stoke-on-Trent who are recruiting for a qualified accountant (ACA,ACCA,CIMA) to join them as a Senior Management Accountant. The role offers a great salary and benefits as well as flexible working with 2 days in the office and 3 from home

The role is ultimately responsible for accurate reporting of all revenue streams and detailed understanding of all elements required to ensure a robust P&L and balance sheet position of Gross margin - including system capabilities and limitations.

Key Duties, Senior Management Accountant, Stoke-on-Trent

  • Responsible for the financial information relating to income
  • The role is responsible for supporting 3 analyst roles delivering revenue and gross margin recognition and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Monthly monitoring and control of revenue and gross margin by business segment and product group, understanding and concisely articulating reasons for variances from targets
  • Adherence to month end deadlines
  • Provision of information and analysis, as required, to Commercial Business Partner to assist with production of their deliverables incl. annual budget and business plan, monthly financial reporting etc.
  • Lead contact on income for Commercial Business Partner, Financial Reporting & Analysis Teams and internal / external auditors
  • Ensure the segment is compliant with the organisation's financial control requirements
  • Continuous review and Management of the month end process, including review system capabilities to ensure that process delivery is at its optimum

Key Skills, Senior Management Accountant, Stoke-on-Trent

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
  • Experience of revenue recognition in previous management accounting roles
  • Utilising financial applications such as Sage
  • Use of Microsoft Office suite: Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Word, Power BI
  • Process design and improvement
