Are you able to lead and motivate a dedicated team of Key Account Managers and Business Development professionals in order to both maximize the revenue from existing key accounts as well as hunt out those new opportunities for business across the extended customer base?
Do you have a background in Key Account Management and Business Development across the 3PL or high volume logistics markets or within the Medical / Pharmaceutical Sales and Distribution sectors?

The role of Senior Key Account Manager will be responsible for a team of around 5 experienced individuals who have strong connections within the existing market and client base and are the key to developing these ongoing and long term relationships. The Senior KAM will be key to driving and managing the successful growth of existing business by building strong, long-term partnerships with customers and demonstrating the value the company can bring to them and their end users, whilst achieving profitability for the company.
The Senior KAM will be tasked with;
Driving the effectiveness of customer engagement with the KAM team to optimise their time and customer satisfaction.
Effective reporting on customer engagement, satisfaction and team time utilisation - how the team time is split between customer time and admin.
Conversion rate calculation of the team - EBIT generated by KAM reporting.
Deliver the growth strategy for existing and new business in support of company objectives.
Researching, analysing and reporting on market, product and customer changes and trends.
Managing existing accounts to ensure continued success, retention, profitability and growth.
Identifying, creating and achieving cross-business sales opportunities of our services.
Effectively converting possible new business opportunities into actual profitable customer accounts by providing appropriate service/product solutions to meet their needs.
Supporting the project implementation of new business.
Negotiating SLAs and providing cost effective quotes for existing business to achieve expected profit margins.
Developing and improving customer relationship management to deliver effective and timely services in accordance with SLAs.
This commercial leadership role will report to the MD and will be a key driver in the growth and account development for the business as a whole and so the following skills and experience would be ideal in this post;
Experience in fast-moving logistics business, preferably medical device / pharmaceutical industry, with support services sales and customer account management or similar role.
Evidence of successful business development with examples of solution focused approach.
Demonstrate strong financial and commercial knowledge including cost effective quotes, profit margins, markets.
Consistently achieving or exceeding set sales targets.
Understand that some things must be acted upon with urgency and immediacy.
Take ownership of an issue, seeing it through from start to finish in a professional manner.
Must be a proven account leader as well as always having one eye on new business opportunities.
