Gleeson Recruitment Group are pleased to be working with a renowned University in Birmingham to recruit for a Senior Digital Content Officer on a Fixed Term basis. This will be an excellent opportunity to work with a creative and well put together Marketing team to deliver exciting content across all digital platforms.

Job title: Senior Digital Content Officer

Location: Birmingham

Salary: £34 - 36k

Contract: 7 month FTC

WFH: On site - potential for hybrid

Start date: May 2022

The role:

Lead on the Digital Marketing aspects for the whole business and ensure content and updates are continually met in line with the strategy. This role will be met with reporting and analytical responsibility as well as liaising with internal and external agencies/teams to ensure the content of the sites are correct and up to date. You will be responsible for the website and social media accounts as well as new projects.

Key requirements:

  • Oversee Digital campaigns and analyse effectiveness throughout to increase conversion rates
  • Build new pages and content within the CMS to meet requirements
  • Manage the implementation of the websites design, including photography and ensure information is correct and in line with the universities policies
  • Liaise with external website agencies
  • Improve usability of website to increase conversion rates
  • Create images for website and social media
  • Identify and consistently work on finding innovative ways to capture target audiences
  • Produce content and work closely with Social Media Manager to increase the universities social media presence
  • Implement PPC and Paid Ad campaigns
  • Work with Google Analytics
  • Work with internal teams and senior managers to ensure effectiveness of digital campaigns

Candidate criteria:

  • Experience within a similar role
  • Knowledge and experience of PPC and Paid social
  • Experience with Google Analytics
  • Able to work with website management systems
  • Experience optimising content across digital platforms
  • Experience building HTML email
  • Excellent content and copy writing skills
  • Able to work with stakeholders internally and externally
