Are you a Senior Buyer with extensive experience of procuring logistics or transport services? How would you like to work for a well known manufacturing organisation with lots of opportunity to progress and grow?
I am recruiting for a Senior Buyer based in Tamworth. This is a hybrid role with a mix of home and office work. You will be responsible for procuring logistics and transport categories and will engage with stakeholders to obtain their requirements and using this knowledge you will define the supply base, manage relationships and negotiate. You will also engage in benchmarking activities.
This is an excellent opportunity where you will have ownership of your own categories and create category and sourcing strategies to procure fit for purpose services.
In order to carry out this role, you will need the following skills and experience:
- Proven experience of transport or logistics procurement
- Solid knowledge of procurement processes
- Good negotiation skills
- The ability to multi task
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Good knowledge of contract law
This role is an exciting position that will be involved in a number of exciting projects with this organisation. The salary on offer for this is position is circa £55,000 to £60,000 plus benefits. If you meet the above criteria, please do not hesitate to apply.
