The key deliverables around the role will be;

Growing profitable sales in order to achieve company sales targets and grow revenue and margin in line with the objectives
Develop a deep understanding of customers needs and requirements so that we can sell more effectively
Build and maintain strong, long-lasting, trusted customer relationships to increase revenue for the company
Develop future business opportunities and identify emerging markets
Identify the winning strategy, develop value propositions, prepare & deliver bids to customers, effectively manage the sales process and negotiate & close deals
Negotiate contracts to maximise value and minimise risk, achieving the optimum commercial position
Accurately forecast current and future sales opportunities
Enhance the company's reputation and constantly explore opportunities to add value
Compiling reports on progress, goals, and forecasts and clearly communicate the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to stakeholders

The Sales & Business Development Manager will need to be a proven business hunter and winner with a strong technical and commercial mix of experience from a manufacturing and engineering based sector. Knowledge of the Pump, Valve, Compressor or rotating equipment market would be highly advantageous for this role. You will need to demonstrate an ability to develop and close sales orders and meet and exceed sales targets and proven capability in delivering client-focused solutions based on customer needs. You will be able to a strong people person, relationship builder and business closer who can follow inquiries through from initial contact to signed terms and commercial contracts.
