I am looking for a Regional Sales Manager who, ideally, has experience of selling building products to both independent and more national focused builders' merchants across Bedfordshire and surrounding counties.

The Regional Sales Manager role is being created with a prime responsibility to develop, build and maintain long term profitable business partnerships. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of country's leading building products provider and play a key part in the development of their business across Bedfordshire and surrounding counties.

The Regional Sales Manager will have responsibility for achieving annual sales and profit targets as set by the company by promoting the full range of products to customers in a structured and professional manner. You will take full operational responsibility, implementing a high-quality territory management and customer grading process ensuring optimum sales productivity.

Your role and responsibilities will include developing and build long term business partnerships with existing customers via the creation of individual customer business development plans whilst also pro-actively seeking and developing new potential business revenue. You will be tasked with delivering technical benefit solutions to solve customers' problems, this is an autonomous role where you will take responsibility for managing your own diary and output.

As the new Regional Sales Manager, your experience will include full sales and customer relationship development skills. Ideally experience of selling building products but other sectors will be considered if you can demonstrate experience in a commercial, distribution or industrial environment. You will have capacity to manage your own workload whilst proactively sourcing new customers and logging all information to their fully integrated sales system. This is a regional role so you will need to be comfortable in a customer facing environment, communicating both internally and externally and being able to provide regular forecasts of sales and profitability.
