Regional Health & Safety Manager
Midlands and M40 Corridor
Up to £45000 DOE + Benefits

We are looking to recruit a full time Regional Health, Safety Manager to join a group of highly respected veterinary practices, comprising some of the best clinicians in the profession. They have over 50 veterinary practices in their family which are spread across England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland. The business is financially secure, with no furloughs or redundancies made throughout lockdown. Due to expansion they are now looking for a Regional Health and Safety manager to cover location of Midlands and M40 corridor. The role presents an excellent opportunity to progress with your professional development.

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the delivery and implementation of the safety strategy across the Group
  • Maintain and lead a virtual network of Health and Safety Champions for their region, providing mentorship and guidance
  • Supporting the investigation of accidents and incidents within their area of responsibility, making recommendations to prevent a re-occurrence, and attending incident review panels where required
  • Manage and lead Health and Safety improvement projects, gaining buy-in from different levels across the Group
  • Providing Health and Safety advice and support to senior leaders within the business
  • Undertaking safety inspections at practices and other Group locations as required
  • Leading new Business Unit acquisitions through the Health and Safety integrations process
  • Attendance and presentation of subject matter expertise at Group-wide Update/CPD meetings
  • Undertaking regular reviews of action plans in respect of Health, Safety and compliance audits, Fire Risk Assessments, or Enforcing Authority visits/interventions.
  • To actively participate in additional training and CPD as may be required in support of Group objectives
  • To act as an ambassador and uphold the highest professional standards at all times
  • Reporting into the Head of Health and Safety



Requirements:

  • 3+ years working in a multi site role
  • Minimum NEBOSH certificate or Tech IOSH.NEBOSH Diploma desirable
  • A confident leader and influencer. Ability to communicate at all levels across the organisation in a confident and professional manner
  • Previous experience of working in a clinical or veterinary environment- Desirable
  • IOSH Membership- Desirable
