KPI’s…they’re not really our thing.

We like to stick to an absolute MAXIMUM of one: the target of how many meetings you make. There is no counting cold calls or totting up how many CVs have been sent out to clients. You don’t have to believe us, but we’re telling the truth. 

When we meet a client who’s looking to fill role regardless of sector, we’ll introduce them to all divisions (we don’t just fling them randomly from branch to branch like hot potatoes. More of an active listening to their needs/using our expert knowledge kind of deal). 

But how – we hear you ask in alarm – could this be? A recruitment firm without KPI’s? What kind of a depraved establishment are you running? What next? NO DESKS? NO CLOTHES? Easy…we’ve got oodles of desks, and the clothing policy is smart/casual (just to stress this: no clothes in the office is way, WAY too casual). 

Has this done us a disservice? Well, you tell us. Other than our team reporting some curious side-effects – weird talk of being happy at work, that sort of stuff – we’ve placed with round about 400 companies over the last year. We’ve also just won the Downtown in Business Recruitment Company of the Year Award *insert casual hair flip* but you know, whatever. It’s cool. We didn’t all literally weep with joy, or anything. 

Anyhow, enough waffle – you’ve got the gist, we hope. Let’s talk being a Recruitment Leader/Recruitment Manager for The Gleeson Group.

Whilst our established Finance and Pharmaceuticals are fully functional with sector leading teams, we are now expanding our functional to mirror leading functions within our Birmingham office.  

We are interested in meeting experienced recruiters / team leaders with entrepreneurial qualities and networks in the following Thames Valley / South East markets: 

  • Marketing & Digital
  • Built Environment
  • Engineering 
  • Manufacturing 
  • IT/Technology 
  • Procurement & Supply Chain
  • Human Resources
  • Executive Search (any sector considered)

What we’re after…

  • You’ll need to lead a team. Yes, you – come on, don’t be shy. Seriously, though…don’t be shy. Not if you’re going to lead a team.
  • Have you ever heard of a guru who claims to ‘get the gist’? Us neither. Just bear in mind that when it comes to industry know-how, a guru is exactly what we’re looking for. 
  • Much like romantic partners, businesses have needs. We want you to have an understanding of how to address those needs (in a commercial way, mind; not in a weird, intimate way. Don’t try to ‘spice things up’ in accounts, or anything).

This is not a cold start up opportunity but an extension to established division and an opportunity to be grow your team as part of a rapidly expanding and exciting business.
