Are you an experienced Quality Manager / Senior Quality Engineer who can lead both the Production and Systems Quality for a low to medium volume manufacturing and assembly facility that supplies a range of components and systems to a wide variety of both UK and International clients?

Can you lead and motivate a small but experienced team of Quality engineers and technicians to deliver right first time production quality as well as manage a large and varied supplier base and champion both internal and external audit and certifications as well as providing guidance and support to all other key stakeholders across production, continuous improvement and engineering?

This business is a global leader in their field of expertise and has an enviable client base with some genuine blue chip customers on a truly global basis and so the Quality Manager will be a key member of the Senior Leadership team and reporting directly to the Head of Operations for the UK.

You will be key in ensuring that the current processes and systems are adhered to and at the same time have an eye on Continuous Improvement activity across the whole site from a Quality perspective. You will need to have solid experience around ISO9001 and exposure to IATF16949 would be highly advantageous in this capacity. You need to be a leader and motivator of people and be able to look at and resolve issues based on data and facts and then drive corrective actions while engaging with all colleagues to keep them engaged and up to speed with quality issues and resolutions.

A background in a fast paced environment within Automotive / Industrial Manufacturing and Assembly will be essential as would strong supplier interface experience in order to deliver right first time supply. Most important is a mindset of problem solving and corrective action where you take ownership of any issues and manage them through to resolution to ensure they do not rise again in the future. You need to be a communicator and a hands on Quality Manager who can in-still a mindset of Quality across the organisation and the supplier base.
