An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Quality, Health & Safety Manager to join a rapidly-expanding manufacturing business based in Birmingham. Having moved to a new site, and currently leading a significant programme of investment, the business needs a Quality, Health & Safety Manager who can guarantee that health and safety objectives are met and that a sufficient and suitable quality management system is in operation to meet the requirements of ISO9001, BRC consumer products and CHSA standards.
As Quality, Health & Safety Manager your main responsibilities will include creating an environment for cultural change in safety performance, defining and monitoring audits and agreeing objectives with site & group management. You will also provide quality leadership for the site, ensuring that products meet the required technical specification and that the quality policy and procedures systems are maintained to the required standards. You will investigate any breaches of the quality system, produce reports for the management team and lead KPI audits.
In order to carry out this role you will need the following skills and experience:
- Previous experience within a Quality, Health & Safety management role within a manufacturing environment
- Proven ability in leading external certification body audits
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong leadership and influencing skills
- NEBOSH diploma or equivalent
