This role for an experienced Quality Health Safety and Environmental Manager with a passion for best practice and delivering a robust safety culture. The role will include;
Assist the Operations Manager in developing, managing and monitoring the QHSE performance of the Company operations.
Providing advice on safety and maintenance issues and concerns to ensure all work meets the statutory and Company requirements.
Responsible for Quality, Environmental, Health and Safety processes and procedures in line with industry regulations and Company adherence.
Develop and deliver the site QHSE plans.
Develop and implement continuous improvements with regards H&S
Conduct audits to evaluate the effectiveness of systems and procedures and identify and implement improvements.
Ensure safe plant and machinery processes are carried out
Deputise for the Operations Manager as and when required.
Oversee and monitor adequate provision of emergency procedures, first-aid, welfare facilities, safety signs, protective clothing and equipment and incident reporting to the relevant authorities.
Prevent and precaution, or adequate control of, exposure to hazardous substances, and danger from flammable, explosive, electrical, noise, radiation and manual handling risks.
Design and deliver safety training courses and programmes required using internal and external resources.
Direct, coordinate and plan essential services; security, maintenance, cleaning, waste disposal and recycling.
Work to the FEMC (Fuel Elements Material and Component) specifications.
Work to the CPR (Controlled Product Route).
As a proven QEH&S professional with a strong background in a highly regulated industry such as; Nuclear, Aerospace, Chemical Process, Oil & Gas etc, you will have a strong mix of the following skills and experience;
NEBOSH General Certificate as a minimum
Knowledge of Quality Management Systems.
Strong leadership skills committed to team and partnership working
Capable of providing clear direction for employees to constantly drive safety and quality targets
Problem solving skills with an innovative and analytical approach
Decisive and able to make decisions under pressure
Flexible, willing to support on call outs when necessary.
