Would you like to take the Health Safety and Environmental Lead on all aspects of a small dual site advanced manufacturing and engineering operation for a leading global business? The QHSE Manager is a member of the Senior Leadership Team and will be involved in establishing and maintaining visual management systems, quality, environmental and H&S systems and process control systems within this busy facility. The role will be responsible for;
Internal auditing to ensure continued legislative compliance for both environmental and H&S systems.
Working within an ISO9001and ISO14001 framework to create a right first time culture with World Class standards.
Leading the Site wide HSE initiative for the site including prevention and investigation action on accidents.
Leading and investigating any H&S concerns.
Investigation of quality and environmental concerns and complaints, implementation of preventative action.
Establish, implement and maintain communication for the improvement and awareness of quality and EHS issues across all departments.
Provide management with regular information on customer complaints, returns and the cost of quality including internal and external using appropriate measures.
Liaise with purchasing function to ensure suppliers meet product and service levels required.
Liaise with internal customers and external customers on quality standards and issues.
Ensure to maintain the ISO system on site.
The ideal individual will be a proven HSE professional who has hand on QHSE experience within a manufacturing engineering based environment and can show a mix of the following skills and experience;
Graduate / HND level education (or equivalent) in an engineering or manufacturing related discipline
Experience in ISO9001, ISO14001 and H&S systems essential.
H&S Diploma or equivalent experience
Training in lean manufacturing systems and techniques
Visual management experience with excellent presentation skills
Customer facing skills and able to communicate at all levels from the shop floor to senior management
Any metals based, machining or fabrication process and equipment knowledge / experience would also be highly desirable for this position.
