As Purchasing Assistant you will support a busy purchasing team and have responsibility for low spend area purchasing. You will raise and control purchase orders, develop improved purchasing processes and work closely with stakeholders including technical and marketing teams. You will provide strong customer service, generate and maintain reports, collate data and maintain the MRP system.
In order to carry out the Purchasing Manager role, you will need the following skills and experience:
- Previous purchasing experience at assistant or administrator level
- MRP systems experience - ideally IFS
- Good communication skills
- The ability to prioritise your own workload and use your own initiative
- An energetic and driven personality
- A good level of Microsoft Office experience
In return, you will receive a salary of circa £25,000 dependent upon experience plus benefits
