Are you an experienced Purchasing Assistant with experience in raising orders, creating reports and analysis? Would you like to put your purchasing and materials management skills to good use within a large distribution organisation? If so, please read on to find out more about this exciting Purchasing Assistant role.
You will have responsibility for material master data and BOM management within the organisation's ERP system and will support the Buyer in ensuring customer materials queries and issues are dealt with appropriately. You will maintain procedural documentation and will assist in as coordinating procurement activity to meet customer forecasts and backlog.
In order to carry out this role, you will need the following skills and experience:
- SAP experience is essential
- Previous purchasing experience within a logistics or manufacturing environment
- Strong organisational skills
- Strong Excel and Word skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Good attention to detail
- A solutions based outlook
