Our client is an exciting startup pub operator looking to accelerate their growth. You now have the rare and exciting opportunity to join this embryonic business on their journey of expansion as Property & Acquisitions Director.

About the opportunity

Founded by industry leaders with a history of building and operating successful pub companies, the business is built around core values, putting people first and creating a positive environment for teamwork and collaboration.

They have ambitious growth plans to build well-invested pubs in the heart of their local communities and look to become an industry leader through their partnerships and investment in people.

Currently 50 pubs, they have the ambition, experience and funding to grow to over 300 pubs in the next three years. Key to their next phase of growth is the addition of an experienced Property & Acquisitions Director to their leadership team. Reporting to the CEO - with a dotted line into the COO - you will manage a team of four and take the lead on the following responsibilities:

Mergers & Acquisitions
* Leading M&A strategy working with the CEO on group acquisitions
* Identifying and securing single site acquisitions
* Building the acquisitions pipeline
* Liaising with property agents
* Driving the legal process with lawyers

Investment
* Building the pub investment strategy
* Building the contractor network
* Ensuring value for money and investing within budget
* Developing pace strategy to reduce time between acquisitions and subsequent investment

Health & Safety
* Ensuring legal compliance for all operating pubs
* Ensuring legal compliance of all acquisitions, especially fire capacity and safety
* Responsibility for overall pub health & safety

Other
* Day-to-day maintenance management through property team
* Ensuring the estate is adequately insured, negotiating policies and premiums
* Valuation
* Pub agreements

About you
As Property & Acquisitions Director will have a proven track record within the hospitality sector along with the drive, commitment and capacity to propel our client forward in this period of significant growth. You will be a people person and the ability to collaborate and lead will be second nature to you. As a senior property professional, you will have the breadth and depth of experience to undertake the technical elements of the role as well as the drive, passion and enthusiasm to take the organisation to new heights.

On offer to the successful candidate is a competitive base salary with a target range of £100-120,000 (based on experience and contribution). You will also benefit from a private health plan, pension and have the option to undertake this role based from anywhere in the UK.
