With a key position in the global 3PL and Supply Chain sector and a footprint in almost all countries across the world, this leading Logistics organisation now requires the support of an experienced Project and Implementation Manager for the UK E-Commerce biased operation.
The Project Manager will be a key member of the site team reporting directly to the Project Director and will be responsible for the design and implementation of complex supply chain management solutions for clients and managing the site wide projects for all functions across the business. The role will be diverse and challenging with a wide range of internal and external touch points and interactions and will include the following responsibilities;
Responsible for developing solutions that meet client requirements. Responsibilities include responding to RFP's, RFQ's, developing and expanding client relationships and coordination with the global solutions design team.
Managing the implementation of these solutions: project management, client integration, client communication, SAP/IT set up, warehouse setup, reporting, business processes, budget, investments.
Define and design project management tools and standards.
Understand client requirements and transform them into financial business models.
Coordinate project initiatives across different departments.
Full financial ownership: Calculation, P&L, pricing, financial analysis and simulation.
Define both strategic and operational recommendations for action.
Deliver presentations and communicate broad business topics to management, employees, peers, vendors and clients
Provide sales support and partnership in the identification of opportunities for new solutions and expansion into new industries.
Provide status reporting regarding project milestones, deliverable, dependencies, risks and issues, communicating across leadership team.
Manage the day-to-day project activities and resources and chairs the project management team meetings.
Set and continually manage project and program expectations while delegating and managing deliverable with team members and stakeholders.
The Project Manager will be a key member of the site time and an integral link between the group project teams, leadership and the customers and so will require a strong mix of the following skills and experience;
A HND / Degree level of education or equivalent in a relevant subject or extensive experience in the field of Project Management.
Working with companies in Technology and / Or Consumer Products industries would be highly advantageous.
Managing RFPs & RFQ's
3-5 years' experience in Project Management
Experience of working with SAP or a similar ERP system
Able to demonstrate reliability, good time management, organisational skills and attention to detail.
Strong customer focus
Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to effectively communicate with global stakeholders, across business verticals at all levels, as well as external client communications at all levels
Operates as an independent, proactive, motivated self-starter who remains focused on task and delivering results in timely manner
Ability and willingness to travel as needed
Excellent MS office + data analytic skills
