Are you an experienced and driven Senior Project Engineer / Project Lead / Project Manager who can lead and manage key production projects to time, costs and scope? You will be the Customer point of contact for key projects and will lead the planning and coordination of manufacturing techniques and support justification for alternate methods to reduce costs and work with planning production, engineering and quality teams to improve working environment and product throughput.

This role of Project Lead is within a world leading multi million pound environment that supplies world class engineered and manufactured products to a Blue Chip global customer base and supplies some of the leading OEM customers on the planet and this role will be a key link between the business and its customer base for all NPDI activity.

Key aspects of the role will be;

Building relationships with key customers to ensure delivery of products and services meets the specific requirements of the business
Manages the integration of 3rd party tasks, tracks and reviews deliverables
Ensuring project alignment to the overall business strategy
Defining project scope and objectives, develops detailed work packages, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports
Use the Gateway process to ensure cross-functional team members work collectively to complete the necessary tasks on time
Work directly with Engineering, Quality and Operations to troubleshoot and improve processes
Management and creation of process documentation (SOP, PFMEA, Control Plans, Manufacturing Reviews, Supplier Reviews)
Risk identification and mitigation
Aligning teams to ensure the delivery of projects
Conduct project meetings and have responsibility for project tracking and analysis
Ensures adherence to quality standards and reviews project deliverables
Provides technical and analytical guidance to project team giving ownership and leadership

Exposure to a world class environment such as Automotive, Aerospace, Nuclear or Defence would be ideal and the desire to develop your career in a world class environment with multiple global site operations. Strong customer facing commercial experience would be invaluable as would the ability to manage the project lifecycle within a fast paced manufacturing environment.
