I'm recruiting a Production Planner for a specialist manufacturer based in Staffordshire. Having already led positive change since the acquisition of the business 2 years ago, the business is kicking into the next phase of its transformation and specified this key appointment to assist its management team.
They are based across a number of wide-ranging industries however it is essential that the successful candidate has previously worked within a manufacturing environment - sector background from either aerospace, defence or automotive would be preferable but not essential.
This position has been created as the company is currently going through huge growth plans with increased volumes in production. Opportunities for progression within the business are very achievable following successful changes and developments. All the production within the plant is low volume, bespoke or one offs given the nature of the work. It is also essential that you have previously working within this kind of environment. Understanding capacity planning and the effect that has on manpower and lead times for jobs is vital for a candidate to suceed within this role.
The key purpose of the Production Planner is to work within the team of Planning team, scheduling and controlling the supply of high value, production-based items. Working with all aspects of the business regarding Lead times and the lifespan traceability of a part. Reporting directly to the Quality Manager onsite you will work together to ensure all standards are met and ensuring all work is within company budgets. The successful candidate can expect a competitive remuneration package between £30,000 - £35,000, with the growth planned within the business there is a distinct chance for an ambitious candidate to progress within the ranks…
