Gleeson Recruitment group are really pleased to be working with the fasted growing university in the UK to recruit a Product Marketing Manager. This is a new role to the business and will be joining a pivotal and growing team within the business.

Salary: up to £40,000

Contract: Full time, perm

The role:

In this role you will be working along with the product team to develop effective and successful marketing strategies of new products to consumers. You will effectively work with stakeholders across the university to develop and execute new products using insights, data and trend analysis to ensure that the right product is delivered in the right way at the right time.

This role is extremely autonomous and allows you to bring exciting products to market, managing content creation and product development and being the link between Marketing and faculty stakeholders. This role will require someone who can work well with a range of stakeholders and will require you give your professional advice and knowledge to ensure that the product coming to market is a success.

Key requirements:

  • Be a business partner and work together with faculty to define and execute their and your strategies
  • Develop and deliver, along with internal teams, launch of new products
  • Work with wider teams in the business to complete competitor analysis and interpret data such as enrolment figures to make informed recommendations for new and current products using
  • Ensure that product messaging is attractive and informative and gives the product an edge in the market
  • Obtain and use consumer insights through a variety of sources
  • Work to agreed and attainable timescales along with wider teams
  • Create content for website such as videos, copy and blogs
  • Provide professional advice and recommendations and be forward thinking with any potential issues using data and professional knowledge
  • Diagnose problems with marketing campaigns
  • Be a brand and product champion giving advice on visual identity
  • Develop product messaging briefs for reference guidelines to the university to ensure the products can be conveyed successfully across the business
  • Be an owner of content delivered on consumer facing platforms, providing guidance on improvements based on data of the consumer activity
  • Work in line with the marketing budget and people resource
  • Work with internal teams to develop a new product launch plan to coordinate in delivery
  • Report on success and recommendations of launches
  • Work in line with the university's framework and guidance

Candidate criteria:

  • Experience as a Product Marketing Manager and/or a suitable amount of experience and expertise within a university
  • Excellent stakeholder management experience and ability to have difficult conversations
  • Able to interpret and utilise data to develop new products
  • Able to conduct successful research on the market
  • Able to work well to tight deadlines and thrives in a fast paced environment
  • Excellent communication, copy writing and content creation skills
  • Proven experience of developing and delivering a multi-channel go-to market strategy
