Are you an experienced Procurement Manager with a strong focus on Construction and Facilities Management? Are you a proven manager with familiar with working in a fast paced environment? If so, please read on about this exciting new Procurement Manager role.
I'm recruiting for a Procurement Manager to work for a large well known organisation based in Bedfordshire. The role can be worked remotely, however you will need to be prepared to travel. As Procurement Manager you will lead and manage relationships with internal stakeholders and identify opportunities for savings and process change. You will have responsibility for the tendering process across areas such as construction, facilities management and other general indirects. You will have excellent negotiation skills and have experience of supplier management, contractor and consultant management.
Your experience will be mainly within the indirect or GNFR arena and you will have a proven track record within a senior procurement role. You will also have experience of working within a very fast paced and complex environment. You will work with data and interpret and develop plans to improve profitability and will also work closely with the legal department ensuring robust contracts are in place in line with procurement activity.
In order to carry out this role, you will need the following skills & experience:
- Extensive experience in a Senior Procurement role
- Experience of facilities management and construction procurement and general indirects
- Strong communication skills
- The ability to negotiate and influence
- Excellent organisational skills
- The ability to lead and influence resources in a matrix environment
- CIPS qualification is preferable
