Gleeson Recruitment Group are pleased to be working with an award winning, luxury home builder, based in Solihull, to recruit for a PR Specialist to join the team on a full time, permanent basis.

Job title: PR Specialist

Location: Solihull

Salary: £40,000-£60,000 (dependant on experience)

Start date: April-July 2023

Contract: Full time, perm

WFH policy: Hybrid / Flexible - must be able to travel nationally when needed

The role:

You will be joining a 5 star leader in the house building industry who are looking for a PR Specialist to create compelling content for multiple platforms. We are looking for someone who has a keen interest and experience in the industry in order to work across PR, award entries, social media posts and more. This role will see you leading and managing the delivery of multiple projects and working with senior stakeholders to produce proactive and reactive communications. You will also be working across traditional media as well as digital platforms.

Key requirements:

  • Create engaging press realises and media content
  • Plan and deliver internal and external communications
  • Promote brand voice across all communications
  • Deliver corporate bids, award submissions and marketing materials
  • Lead on and be POC for Media and Public relations
  • Lead on and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across trade, local and regional as well as media relations locally and nationally
  • Consistently maintain reputation of the business
  • Identify reputation risks and proactively work to handle these risks
  • Report on and monitor communication activities
  • Assist with the planning and execution of corporate events

Candidate criteria:

  • Experience within a similar role
  • Strong PR knowledge and previous experience
  • Experience within the property or building industry
  • Excellent communication and copywriting skills
  • Media relations experience
  • Ability to translate technical information into compelling copy
  • Success in delivering PR and Communications campaigns within a corporate/commercial environment
  • Good media network
  • Excellent stakeholder management experience
  • Able to work confidently across all levels of the business including senior management level
  • Excellent project management expertise
  • Digital marketing knowledge
