We are looking to recruit a PR and Communications Executive to join a talented Media and Communications team where you will learn from the best and play a leading role in the team. You will be the go-to for current news agendas, source and deliver media opportunities as well as being a key contact that develops and maintains stakeholder relationships. You will report and deliver a range of quality written work for media

Contract: Perm, full-time, hybrid (2 days a week in an office)

The role:

This is an integral role working with multiple internal teams and projects to deliver communications and lead on media relations for the business. You will be working in a fast-paced PR and Comms environment and we are looking for candidates who are looking to learn and develop within an amazing organisation, with a second to none Media and Communications team. We are looking for someone switched on and with some previous experience in PR and Communications but most importantly strong copy writing skills and stakeholder management skills.

Key requirements:

  • Work closely with managers from across the team to identify and implement communication opportunities and topics that support awareness of the organisation, projects and activities
  • Support the management of core press office by building and maintaining relationships with a range of media professionals across various media platforms
  • Be an integral part in leading the Communications team CRM system and leading on customer reporting
  • Lead the Communications team's media monitoring and evaluation including PR coverage reports
  • Work closely with journalists visiting the region and organisation and work to compile itineraries for social events and attractions
  • Support the Communications team with editorial copy, briefing notes, case studies and press releases
  • Work closely with 3rd party agencies

Candidate requirements:

  • Previous experience with a PR and Communications role
  • Strong copywriting and communications skills
  • Good time management skills and ability to work in an agile environment with multiple projects
  • Experience in B2B and B2C
  • Experience with technical copywriting and ability to translate information into content that is accessible
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • CRM experience
  • Knowledge of the West Midlands region
