Would you like to join an innovative and growing UK Food/FMCG business in Warwickshire? I have an entry level role in Production Planning within a food manufacturing environment which can offer a structured career path within the organisation.
My client is looking for a Planning Coordinator, to work multiple shift patterns (including weekends) to enhance the communication between the planning and commercial teams onsite. Based in Warwickshire, you will work closely with the wider supply chain teams in developing greater visibility of demand and will be supported in this by your warehousing colleagues.
If successful, as a Planning Coordinator will report directly into an onsite Supply Chain Manager and you will be expected to build upon successful processes onsite, but also identify where improvements can be made. You will inspire your team in what is a fast-moving production line environment, develop staff where necessary and be the key escalation point for any issues that may arise.
The site is a food production/food distribution environment where the key responsibilities will be to engage with all internal stakeholders. There is clear career progression for the right candidate as the company have a proven record of promoting from within. Health and safety are paramount onsite and they have worked hard on cultivating a "team" culture where everyone is pulling in the same direction.
Some of the key responsibilities for the Planning Coordinator will include generating production schedule and material required to fulfil orders. You will be tasked with giving visibility of demand to the operations team so they can flex headcount accordingly with their temporary labour providers and working collaboratively with the production team to understand and resolve technical forecasting tools, resolving production delays where possible.
The company is in an exciting growth phase over the next 12 months, resulting in new opportunities moving forwards. A distribution background would be beneficial and possibly food production experience also, a candidate who can demonstrate managing a team in a demanding distribution environment would be highly advantageous.
Based in Warwickshire and being an entry level role, you will receive a competitive salary of £22,000. This could be a real steppingstone into a more significant logistics position and will suit a self-starter who is team driven and is able to communicate at all levels.
