I am working exclusively with West Midlands Growth Company to recruit for an exciting new Resource Planning and Capacity Manager. Funding has been secured to deliver a major programme to attract visitors, investors and events to the West Midlands and the UK, and grow export opportunities. The programme is currently being developed - so this is a really exciting time to join and help shape what will be delivered.

You will manage the resource plan with Finance and HR using business modelling and organisational design and look for efficiencies and best use of time.

Along with this you will assess existing capacity and develop delivery plans, manage and monitor deviations from the plan that have an impact on financials and ensure that any capacity constraints are escalated quickly. You will regularly communicate plans and forecasts to internal stakeholders and review plans to ensure efficient utilisation of resource, attend meetings and update others of issues and concerns and ensure that effective data and performance metrics are available to relevant people As Resource Planning and Capacity Manager, you will work with HR and the PMO to plan capacity needed by the programme to meet changing demands for delivery, manage the balance of the programme demands against day to day activities and proactively review workloads and resource management.

In order to carry out this role you will have the following skills and experience:

  • Proven resource capacity and planning skills
  • Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail
  • Previous use of planning systems and the ability to report effectively
  • Experience of delivering results through cross functional working
  • Proven experience of people management
  • Excellent communication skills

In return, you will receive a salary of £35,000 to £40,000 plus benefits. This is a 3 year fixed term contract role. This is also a remote working opportunity until a date is agreed for the workforce to return to their central Birmingham offices.
