Payroll Officer

We have an excellent opportunity for a sole Payroll Officer to join a fabulous company based in Birmingham to carry out their payroll for over 300 members of staff

Payroll Officer Core Duties

  • Reviewing and processing monthly and weekly time sheets
  • Preparing BACs reports
  • Reconciling PAYE & NI (UK) and PAYE & PRSI (ROI), and making payments to HMRC and Revenue
  • Processing month end reconciliations and year end procedure
  • Liaising with external agencies such as HMRC, Revenue, pension providers etc.,
  • Complete all weekly and monthly payroll reporting requirements
  • Resolving HMRC and Revenue queries around RTI submission and pay for all employees
  • Keeping up-to-date with proposed legislation and regulations, communicating potential payroll implications to the HR Manager and Financial Controller
  • Continually reviewing processes and working practices to ensure the company maintains an up to date, effective

What we are looking for:

  • Language: fluent in English (spoken and written).
  • At least 2 years previous experience of running ROI and/or UK, weekly and monthly payrolls
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong stakeholder relationships
  • Excellent IT skills
