You will be tasked with driving performance onsite, delegating tasks effectively through your team when required. You will communicate on performance issues and identify the training required, personally coaching and developing your team in order to improve performance. While you will be joining a UK wide business, the culture is one of accountability - you will have some freedom to deliver as you see fit but will be accountable for performance. The new Operations Manager will report directly to the Head of Operations onsite, the site is a dynamic fast-moving food distribution/production environment where the key responsibilities will be to engage with your team to drive shift productivity. There is definite career progression for the right candidate as the company have a proven record of promoting from within, they have worked very hard on producing a great culture onsite where everyone is pulling in the same direction.
A candidate with experience within e-commerce, FMCG or food distribution could transition nicely into this role although good people managers from fast moving warehouse environments will also be considered, as with most distribution environments understanding fluctuating volumes will be paramount.
Ideally you will have experience within a pressurised, fast paced and challenging warehouse environments. Based near Oxford you will be paid a competitive salary c£50,000 plus bonus and other additional benefits, the role will suit a self-starter who is team driven and can communicate at all levels.
