You will be tasked with analysing data and using it to drive performance, delegating tasks effectively when required. You will communicate on performance issues and identify the training required, personally coaching and developing your team in order to improve performance. While you will be joining a multinational business, the culture is one of accountability - you will have some freedom to deliver as you see fit but will be accountable for performance. As a result, the business has exceptional retention rates and service records and a great working culture.
The new Operations Manager will report directly to the Head of Operations onsite and will be part of implementing site strategy, the site is a dynamic fast-moving pharmaceutical distribution environment where the key responsibilities will be to engage with your team to drive shift productivity. There is definite career progression for the right candidate as the company have a proven record of promoting from within, they have worked very hard on producing a great culture onsite where everyone is pulling in the same direction.
A candidate with experience within pharmaceutical or FMCG distribution could transition nicely into this role although good people managers from fast moving warehouse environments will also be considered, as with most distribution environments understanding fluctuating volumes will be paramount. Having experience of MHRA or GDP guidelines would be preferable but not essential…
Ideally you will have experience within a pressurised, fast paced and challenging warehouse environments. Based in Birmingham you will be paid a competitive salary c£55,000, the role will suit a self-starter who is team driven and can communicate at all levels.
