The culture of the organisation requires you to be hands-on and action-oriented - you will need to be the sort of leader that makes things happen! While responsible for a significant sized warehouse you will be required to be present to drive daily understanding of site SOP's through workshops and process mapping. You will need to be flexible in your approach to shifts but predominantly this a Monday to Friday core office hours role, for this you can expect a basic salary of c£50,000 dependent on experience.

You will be tasked with driving operational performance onsite, you will communicate on performance issues and identify the training required, personally coaching and developing in order to improve performance. While you will be joining a UK wide business, the culture is one of accountability - you will have some freedom to deliver as you see fit but will be accountable for performance. The new Operations Excellence Manager will report directly to the Head of Operations onsite, the site is a dynamic fast-moving food distribution/production environment where the key responsibilities will be to engage with the team onsite, there is definite career progression for the right candidate as the company have a proven record of promoting from within. They have worked very hard on producing a great culture onsite where everyone is pulling in the same direction.

A candidate with experience within e-commerce, FMCG or food distribution could transition nicely into this role although good people managers from fast moving warehouse environments will also be considered. Ideally you will have experience of implementing change and new SOP's within a fast paced and challenging warehouse environment. Based near Derby you will be paid a competitive salary c£50,000 plus other additional benefits, the role will suit a self-starter who is team driven and can communicate at all levels.
