This global organisation is at the forefront of manufacturing technology with a truly international design, manufacturing and customer footprint, and is leading the way in low volume techniques such as rapid prototyping and additive layer manufacturing.
Due to unprecedented growth, order book and investment they are now seeking to appoint an experienced Night Shift Production Supervisor region to manage both the team and the daily requirements and targets of the manufacturing team. The role will involve;
Create a culture of Safety and accountability around all Teams as well as individual work assignments.
Adhere to all quality standards within the department.
Plan and supervise the manufacturing activities on the night shift.
Ensure assigned staff are qualified and appropriately trained for assigned work.
Assure production output supports the production schedule.
Engage the employees by sharing metrics and how they relate to our Team performance.
Assure production output meets all applicable quality requirements.
Perform human resource tasks such as recruiting, performance management, training and development, recognition, time management, and corrective action.
Monitor manufacturing area supplies and equipment; initiate purchasing requests as needed.
Champion the principles of Manufacturing Excellence by identifying and perusing opportunities for improvement
Promote the concepts of 5S by maintaining clean & organized work areas with emphasis on safety, quality, efficiency, & utilization.
Continually seek to improve work processes & individual performance.
With a solid background in manufacturing and production engineering and with a proven ability to lead and motivate a team of individuals towards a common goal, the Production Supervisor will have a strong mix of the following skills and experience;
Manufacturing experience, ideally in plastic injection moulding or CNC Machining, but not essential
Relevant manufacturing supervision/management experience
Ability to help out and be productive where needed
Exceptional leadership, communication, coaching, and conflict resolution skills.
Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams
Ability to use a computer and calculator
Ability to comprehend and follow verbal and electronic work instructions from supervisors or technical leads
Strong attention to detail and a mindset of continuous improvement
