I'm currently working alongside a client who have a fantastic opportunity to work in a friendly and challenging environment. They're looking for an enthusiastic Network Engineer that is interested in developing their career and progressing through the ranks! If you have the ability to hit the ground running and pick up tasks straight away; whilst also having an aspiring aptitude to learn more, this could be the role for you!

The Role:
To assist in supporting and maintaining and upgrading the company Network and IT Security Platforms as required. This will include configuring network equipment at the Rexel head office for remote deployment, visits to remote sites occasionally to deploy / troubleshoot networking equipment. Assist the Network & Security principal with occasional out of hours work both remotely and onsite. Although the team have been working remotely for the past two years with the infrequent visit to site 2-4 times a year, please note location will still need to be considered for the role in case of any future changes. No Two days will be the same as you'll be faced with various challenges and be exposed to a multitude of responsibilities.

Key Accountabilities.

  • Accountability for service provision of all network links to all locations
  • Day to day performance & security analysis across the entire network.
  • Accountability for service provision for connections from UK network to the Group network (EU).
  • Management of the tools and further analysis required to support Problem Management and BAU.
  • Support the network requirements with respect to Adds / Moves / Changes to Network Infrastructure where projects dictate.
  • Manage network alerting and reporting tools ensuring they are kept up to date as the network architecture changes.
  • Interface at a technical level with suppliers of applications and infrastructure teams.
  • Ensure that network documentation is accurate.
  • Manage third party service provider incident management tickets including escalations.



The Person:

  • 3 years+ networking experience
  • CCNA trained or certified
  • SD-WAN experience, especially with Meraki
  • Firewall experience, especially with Checkpoint

This role benefits from additional packages i.e Private Health care, additional 10% bonus on salary if targets met.

This role is a full time, permanent position, working across Monday to Fridays and if required weekends for specific projects.
