Gleeson Recruitment Group have partnered with a leading, international B2B Events and Exhibitions business to recruit a Marketing Manager onto their team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work within various exciting sectors, ranging from health, beauty and FMCG to automotive to name a few. You will bring international objectives to life and join industry leading buyers and sellers together from all over the world.

As the Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for creating and leading the marketing strategy to generate sales and leads.

The successful candidate will be joining a fun and relaxed environment, rooted in a collaborative and supportive culture. This role is initially full-time office based with flexible working being supported later down the line, following probation.

Key Responsibilities

The 2 key objectives of the marketing manager are to generate sales leads and to increase the quantity and quality of our exhibition visitors.

With these objectives in mind, the marketing manager:

  • Is responsible for the planning and implementation of our marketing strategy.

  • Must develop integrated and cross channel marketing campaigns to promote our exhibitions.
  • Is responsible for defining our messaging: on a corporate level, as well as for the different exhibitions (targeting various industries) we have in our portfolio.

  • Needs to ensure our messaging is consistent across all our different communications channels.

  • Is responsible for putting together the marketing budget and for always keeping it transparent, as well as giving budget reports to management.
  • Works closely with our exhibition managers to understand how marketing can support them better.
  • Is proactive in establishing new media partnerships, social media partnerships, and in reaching out to associations and government agencies to form strategic partnerships supporting our exhibitions.
  • Is experienced in working with third party agencies and copywriters and can deliver 'to the point' briefings.

Essential criteria for the Marketing Manager:

  • Degree in Communications or Marketing
  • 3 Years' experience In B2B marketing role
  • Experience in an events / trade show / exhibitions environment is desirable
  • Independent worker and forward thinker
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong copywriting and copyediting skills
  • Experience in campaign planning, strategy and messaging
  • Enthusiastic and high energy to bring new ideas to the team
  • Great attention to detail
