Gleeson finance are delighted to be working on an exclusive basis with this SME manufacturing business in Rugby, to recruit an Accountant / Finance Business Partner. Reporting into the Financial Controller, you will provide analytical and reporting support to procurement, planning and logistics with regards to purchasing, product costing, and stock management. You will specialise in costings, purchasing and stock holdings, explaining results and comparing them against set targets and be the driving force for change to improve future results.
Key responsibilities include; business partnering with key stakeholders and establishing world class metrics to monitor and understand performance of the business against plans - including P&L, balance sheet, cash flow and non-financial measures as appropriate. You will produce your areas budget, weekly, monthly and quarterly re-forecasts, analysis and other reports, whilst developing methods of forecasting to ensure timely delivery of all budgetary and reforecast information and analysis. You will also develop reporting packs, with clear establishment of initiatives and measurement of them alongside development of the appropriate KPIs. In addition, you will ensure that the information brings the story to life in an accessible way.
As well as stock accounting, you will assist in the preparation of pricing proposals for parts to support new supplier agreements and contract review. You will manage the standard product costing of all inventory items, working closely with procurement to ensure that material costs are accurately recorded for standard costing purposes, and significant price increases are monitored and explained. You will be responsible for regular and irregular cost accounting and analysis, including but not limited to material, labour and production costs.
In order to be considered, you will be a part or fully qualified accountant, with experience of standard costing within a manufacturing environment. You must be comfortable with using ERP systems, and advanced Excel skills are essential. You will have a positive can-do attitude, with strong inter-personal and excellent planning and organisation skills.
