Management Accountant - Solihull - 40 - 45k

Gleeson Recruitment Group are supporting a PE listed organisation in Solihull with the recruitment of a Qualified (ACCA, ACA or CIMA) Management Accountant. The business has grown through acquisition and has an aim of exceeding a turnover of 100m in the next 3 years.

This is a great opportunity for an Accountant who gets bored of the usual routine and wants to implement everything they have learned so far into a rapidly growing organisation. This role reports directly into the Financial Controller, who is looking for an individual who has the ability and hunger to take on more responsibility and in return will provide the autonomy needed to identify areas of development and drive change.

Key targets for first 12 months

  • Improve the reporting systems & processes in Navision
  • Increase speed of production of management information, target working day 8 by the year end
  • Work with the MS Controller to deliver client profitability reporting utilising the enhanced Navision & utilisation reporting
  • Creating a monthly MI Reporting
  • Develop KPI Reports for the wider business

Key responsibilities include:

  • Production of the regular monthly management information
  • Review of the financial information internally with the Financial Controller
  • Complete monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations
  • Short term 13 week Cash flow forecasting and control
  • Continual development of the Financial KPIs and Reporting pack
  • Manage the month end closure process; prepare, review and post monthly journals as required
  • EEC sales lists / VAT reconciliations and submissions
  • Prepare analysis of financial information for monitoring reports when required
  • Review annual contract renewals (business/credit insurance)
  • Provide the business with the ability to proactively manage and control the overhead costs
  • Support the Finance team with day to day queries
  • Assist with Budget & Forecasts
  • Assist with the preparation of the Group Statutory Accounts
  • Assist with the annual financial audits
  • Support the due diligence process for new acquisitions
