As a prominent organisation, they strive for excellence and transparency in operations, ensuring financial management is robust, efficient, and compliant. They are currently seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Management Accountant to join their finance team.
As a Management Accountant, you will play a vital role in supporting the financial decision-making process within the organisation. You will work closely with the Senior Finance Manager and senior management to provide accurate financial information, analysis, and insights that will contribute to the effective strategic planning and operational performance of the business.

Key responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and presenting timely and accurate financial reports, including budgets, forecasts, and management accounts.
- Analysing financial data, identifying trends, and providing insightful recommendations to support decision-making.
- Conducting variance analysis to assess performance against budgets and forecasts.
- Collaborating with budget holders and department heads to develop and monitor financial plans and budgets.
- Assisting with financial audits and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Monitoring financial controls and identifying areas for improvement to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Supporting the Finance Manager in the preparation of annual financial statements.
- Providing financial guidance and support to non-finance stakeholders to facilitate informed decision-making.
- Contributing to the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, or ACA is highly desirable.
- Proven experience as a Management Accountant or similar role, preferably within a publicly funded or not-for-profit organisation.
- Strong knowledge of financial management principles, practices, and regulations.
- Proficiency in financial reporting and analysis, including budgeting and forecasting.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Advanced proficiency in spreadsheet applications and financial management software.
- Solid understanding of accounting systems and processes.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- High level of integrity and ethical standards.
