Gleeson Recruitment Group are proud to be working with a household name as they expand their commercial finance team in Stoke-on-Trent. We are currently recruiting for a finalist level Management Accountant to join the team as they business grows rapidly into new markets abroad.

This is a newly created role that has come about due to internal promotion, therefore you will have the guidance and support from the incumbent as a line manager. You will be interacting with non-financial Senior Management day to day and will be providing analysis and insight by linking financial reports to the overall business strategy.

Other day to day will include:

  • Preparation of 4 weekly management accounts for relevant entities of responsibility
  • Record all accounting entries in a robust manner for relevant entities of responsibility
  • Collate information from numerous Internal and External systems
  • Escalate any clear and obvious variances to the management team
  • Compare actuals to budget and investigate variances
  • Provide support/inputs into the annual budget setting process
  • Following investigation, escalate unanswered variances to senior finance managers
  • Create reports for entities regarding financial spend against forecasts
  • Collate financial information at an entity level in a timely manner
  • Analyse variances of actual to budget to identify discrepancies with a particular focus on Gaming products
  • Prepare Balance Sheets reconciliations and present to Finance - Reporting, highlighting any issues

To apply you will need:

  • Management Accounts experience
  • ACCA/CIMA part qualified as a minimum
  • Examples of working with senior stakeholders and building relationships
  • Ability to adapt in a newly appointed role

As well as a c£48,000 salary you will receive:

  • 10% bonus
