I am looking for an ambitious Logistics Team Leader working within Air and Sea Freight who can drive performance within my client, a global freight business based in Heathrow.

I have an exciting opportunity to join a global freight provider as they look to recruit a highly capable and ambitious Logistics Team Leader to focus on improving performance of air, sea and courier operations throughout Europe. Based near Heathrow airport, the successful candidate will earn a competitive salary up to £33,000, plus benefits and bonus.

The successful candidate will be charged with improving performance of day to day operations, working closely with the Operations Manager onsite to shape the planning and management of European freight movements by the business. As a valued member of the operations team onsite, you will be tasked with ensuring the highest levels of performance through efficient planning of day to day functions. You will lead your team and make process improvements where applicable, training and mentoring the staff as you push forwards.

The site is a freight forwarding environment where the key responsibilities for your success will be to engage with all internal stakeholders from top to bottom. Driving a "team" culture where everyone is pulling in the same direction as you strive for the highest levels of performance. You will lead your team through operational KPIs making sure that your customers' expectations in terms of standard of service are rigidly adhered to, driving levels of engagement will be critical to your success.

Previous experience of working within a freight forwarding distribution environment is paramount, you will strive to ensure that all transport activities are executed in accordance with customer service level agreements. You will monitor that all suppliers are operating at the required levels of performance and that HMRC compliance is of the highest order.
