I am looking for a driven Logistics Operations Manager working within Air and Sea Freight who can drive tangible change within my client, a global retail distribution business based in Warwickshire.

I have an exciting opportunity to join a global retail distribution business as they look to recruit a highly capable Logistics Operations Manager to focus on improving air, sea and courier operations throughout Europe and Rest of the World. Based at their state-of-the-art facility in Warwickshire, the successful candidate will earn a competitive salary up to £45,000, plus additional benefits.

The successful candidate will have an autonomous role working closely with the Supply Chain Manager to shape the planning and management of freight movements by the business either throughout Europe or ROW. As a senior team member onsite, you will be tasked with ensuring the highest levels of performance through efficient management of their supply chain operation. You will lead your team and make process improvements where applicable, training and mentoring the staff as you push forwards, deciphering supply chain jargon into plain English for better understanding for the wider business!

The site is a manufacturing and distribution environment within the retail sector where the key responsibilities will be to engage with all internal stakeholders from top to bottom. Driving a "team" culture where everyone is pulling in the same direction will be vital as you look to implement new processes KPIs. You will lead your team on a journey as you define what "good" looks like onsite, so your cultural fit and driving levels of engagement will be critical to your success.

Previous experience of working within a freight forwarding distribution environment would be beneficial but a background from within 3PL would also be considered, you will strive to ensure that all transport activities are executed in accordance with customer service level agreements. You will monitor that all suppliers are operating at the required levels of performance and that HMRC compliance is of the highest order especially with new Brexit implications pending.
