This organisation engineer, manufacture, assemble and supply some of the highest quality automotive systems in the world to some of the leading global OEM customers. As Logistics Coordinator you will be responsible for the goods inwards, the flow through the supply chain/production to meet the customer demand.
You will manage the logistics of goods into the business; timed deliveries, receipt, prioritisation and distribution including delivery systems. Continuous improvement - accountable for creating, implementing, and evaluating operational systems, processes, and procedures; promoting and implementing LEAN/5S concepts and initiatives Management of shift logistics team.
In order to carry out this role successfully, you will need previous experience within the following:
- Managing picking routes and efficiencies; develop the best/most practical/most efficient methodologies
- Visual management of warehouse and manufacturing areas; stock levels, placeholders, locations
- Liaising with internal stakeholders such as quality, production and the project teams to ensure business objectives are being met
- Liaising with planning teams to understand the scheduling, raising any issues and making proposals for improvements
Please note this is a contract role with an immediate start. The duration is likely to be a minimum of 12 months. Hourly rate is negotiable depending on experience.
