My client, a global leader in providing logistics solutions within the distribution industry, are looking to recruit a Business Development Manager to oversee current accounts and grow their E-Commerce offering within the market. The territory you will be looking after will be the North of England, Scotland and Northern Ireland…

The successful Business Development Manager will be working for a global well-established company who have been the market leader in their field for several years. The company has always followed a policy of expansion and substantial investment across the UK is planned over the next 12-18 months.

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for monitoring and developing account relationships within their client's distribution functions within their "patch". The role has a specific focus on growing the E-Commerce offering they can deliver to clients - enabling them to deliver their products to the end consumer with minimal disruption.

As the Business Development Manager, most of your time will be spent visiting some of your client's locations, you will be responsible for managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts and ensuring all issues are addressed. You will be asked to provide relevant information and advice to assist in the formulation of E-Commerce solutions.

As the successful Business Development Manager, you are likely to have significant experience in Key Account Management within 3PL or Carrier backgrounds, managing client expectations accordingly.

  1. Experience of Key Account Management within Logistics Solution selling;
  2. Identify leads to be actioned;
  3. Client facing experience of selling goods and services to new clients;
  4. Supporting all members of the sales team;
  5. Experience within E-Commerce sales would preferable but not essential

The following benefits package is available to the successful Business Development Manager:
