I'm looking for a driven Logistics Account Manager working within Air and Sea Freight who can drive revenue within the company's existing client base, a global freight business based in Heathrow.

I have an exciting opportunity to join a global freight provider as they look to recruit a highly capable Logistics Account Manager to focus on maximising revenue from air, sea and courier operations throughout Europe. You will work with an existing client portfolio whilst also proactively sourcing new business, the role could be based at their site near Heathrow airport or in the Midlands. The successful candidate will earn a competitive salary, plus car allowance and other benefits.

The successful candidate will have an autonomous role working closely with the Director of European Operations to maximise the revenue from an existing client base in their European freight movements by the business. You will be tasked with ensuring the highest levels of customer service as you manage freight movements in conjunction with the operational team through their Control Tower operation.

As the Logistics Account Manager, you will be responsible for nurturing existing customer accounts and offering logistics solutions as and when required. You will ensure a high level of customer satisfaction at all times and contribute to on-boarding new business in line with set targets. A candidate who can demonstrate previous success from account management within the freight forwarding sector would be preferable.

The site is a freight forwarding environment where the key responsibilities will be to engage with all internal stakeholders from top to bottom. Previous experience of working within a freight forwarding distribution environment is paramount, you will strive to ensure that all transport activities are executed in accordance with customer service level agreements. You will monitor that all suppliers are operating at the required levels of performance and that HMRC compliance is of the highest order.
